CHICK UPDATE

My baby chick died this afternoon. I gave her special vitamins in water, coddled, prodded, encouraged, and still, she gave up.

Rest gently, Boo.

West River Academy

Sometimes we need a little help graduating our children, ESPECIALLY if they have special needs. My son tried regular school, but even in the Special Ed program, he was just given busy work. When he started having seizures in class, the other students in his special ed classes got scared; they politely asked us to leave. I could have fought it, but we were preparing for his brain surgery, and afterwards, he had very little short term memory as well as partial blindness and a long road to recovery. So... he enrolled in West River Academy which is a private 'umbrella' school, fully accredited (www.westriveracademy.com). He earned his high school diploma just before his 18th birthday!! Wonderful people there.
