25 minutes ago, I got an automated call from the pharmacy, letting us know that my kid's new seizure med was ready. Our cost, after insurance: $881. Yep, you read that right. Nearly $900 for one MONTH of seizure meds.
Even with our cafeteria plan, we can't afford that.
Just left a message with neuro doc's nurse, asking if there's a generic or prescription card or any way we can get it cheaper.
If there isn't, I have no clue how we're going to afford that. We have only enough money for 2 or 3 months worth of meds ... after that, I'm gonna have to sell ... something ... to pay for them.
Guess we can't get the tractor this year, or plant fields of grain, or increase our goat herd. After all, doesn't the health of our children ALWAYS come first?

There are many pharmaceutical companies that will help people. Contact the one that makes the medicine that best helps your child. Their website may have a form for you to complete to ensure that you are really in need. Hope this helps your family.
