My current home doesn't have a verandah or even a porch but I dream of owning a little farmette again, with a verandah overlooking chickens, goats and gardens. Absolute heaven!

UNBEFREAKINGLIEVABLE!

Hubby finally back from getting the last of his "stuff' from his dad's farm. Not much: freezer, clothes, hats, couple of Coleman stoves.

As we're getting the last box from the u-haul, he casually mentions that he probably won't be getting any money. That the property probably won't sell for much.

WTF!?!?!

Three properties (1 with a house and huge metal workshop)
1 van
1 pickup truck
1 tractor
and probably $30,000 worth of really cool and huge tools!

No money?!?!

I think next week I might be calling a lawyer.

Just went though this ESTATE business last year and the year before, with my mom and father-in law's passing.Emotions run high, especially when personal affairs were not thoughtfully arranged and there are are dominate personalities involved.

I'm afraid a couple of weeks will not matter-just as likely to be the case in couple of months.

I know it's the "principle" in all regards. But those dollar valued THINGS are representations of tears AND, happy memories.*sigh

I'd suggest going to an Estate/ Family Law attorney NOW, for a free consultation-bring any papers you have and a LIST of questions.. check them off as you go.If need be find another -to finish your Q and A session.I did.

If you ever feel at odds with the whole situation-think of those dollar values as 'pretty little posies' in a field- happy for the view they give can you :) Then get pro-active enough to mend the fence -that lets the neighbors cow in , that would otherwise eat them up!!!!

Best of wishes...time will heal hearts, but not the paperwork.
