My current home doesn't have a verandah or even a porch but I dream of owning a little farmette again, with a verandah overlooking chickens, goats and gardens. Absolute heaven!

MANY CHICKENS GONE

We've put a lot of extra chickens for sale. As of last night, when another 10 left here, we have only two bantams left to be sold. And they don't eat a lot so if they stick around, that's ok.

Hubby is bringing home a freezer from his dad's place this weekend, so as soon as we get it cleaned up, plugged in and working, we'll take about 20 black australorp chickens to be processed for "freezer camp". Then, we'll have a manageable number of chickens for winter care. Including when (or if) I'm laid up with knee problems.

We made enough selling our chicks to pay for several bags of feed during the winter. That helps knowing we'll be able to care for them appropriately. Keep them happy and healthy.

Peace of mind.
