My current home doesn't have a verandah or even a porch but I dream of owning a little farmette again, with a verandah overlooking chickens, goats and gardens. Absolute heaven!

Picture of our baby goats

We're waiting for our milking doe to give birth sometime in April then wean the kids so we can bring her home. Meanwhile, we have baby Nigerian Dwarf goaties! They were born this past Thursday to Crowley Manor.

The momma is Lili. She had triplets this time and here they are! The boy is black in the back, our doeling is on the right, and the doeling that they are keeping is in the front/left. They were born close to 2 pounds each, during the Thursday snow storm, but are eating like little pigs! Of course, the heat lamp in the kidding area is an absolute must here in the Rocky Mountains!

This is our beautiful little girl, the doeling. I'm told she has blue eyes, but hard to see in picture. She and her sister (the other one in the above pic) were born a split second apart, after the boy. She has beautiful markings, and look at the little pink nose! Hubby will probably name her. The 2 choices he's wavering between: Lavender, Honeysuckle or Honey, Daisy, Iris.

Vote, please? Leave your vote as a comment to this. Thanks!

This beautiful black boy with brown eyes will become a wether, and will come home with the doeling. (Because goats hate being alone so should always have at least one other animal in their "herd".) Notice the little mohawk on his little head. The Kid has decided to call this one "Hawk". Go figure!

We're very excited. As soon as we can, we'll be putting up the "barn" and fencing off the pen area. And making sure there are no holes in the fence that is already there. Of course, we have 8 weeks before we can bring them home but we'll be ready!

Aww they are too cute for words. I think Honeysuckle would be a good name for the little one.

Hi Glad to see you are happy with the babies...I have been giving them lots of snuggle time. They had fun in the sun today, romping around and they have figured out how to jump out of the kidding area and into the main room..they are getting lots of love!

Rivenfae: Appreciate the vote.

Thanks, Patricia. Wish we could come up and cuddle but it's good to get an update!
