You'd think I'd learn, and I thought I had. We had sunscreen (SPF 50) slathered all over. Hats tied on our heads. Mid-length-down-arms t-shirts on.
And still.... the Kid and I got burnt.
The backs of our legs are so burnt we can barely move them. And my ears... I know. Weird. It was very windy (nearby tornados) which kept pushing my hat off my head. Thank goodness it was attached but still... !!
It was hot. It was windy. Goat house fell on Hubby. The Kid and I got burnt. The Kid got bullied from our new neighbor next door, and their dog got a little too close to our goats (which are actually smaller than their dog!). The bunny got too hot in the workshop so she's now in the house. The quail got moved downstairs because Fella (the boy) thinks he's a rooster ... at 2:30 a.m. every day! Tempers flared as the temperature soared. But yeah, we got some done ... until Hubby cut his hand and couldn't do any more. We don't think he'll need stitches but still ... glad I was prepared with medical supplies.
On a positive note, some of my popcorn and sunflowers sprouted!
Expect high of 96 today.
I think I'm gonna rest today.
