Make the Earth Green

Here's the Kid's writing assignment for today. It was "write a poem about your favorite thing".... and he chose a topic that he thinks about all of the time. I wouldn't have made the same word choices, but I am still amazed at his writing skills, and his complete devotion to helping people understand that we need to do better things for the Earth. He's trying to find a way to get even more people to understand, but hasn't hit on anything yet.

Anyway, I'm sure he'd appreciate any positive comments about his poem.

Deep down in me
in my heart full of glee,
there's nothing more
that I loved before
than to make the Earth green.

Turn the brown skies blue today
and the grasses green with gay
with you to help
c'mon! Let's yelp!
"Let's make Earth Day everyday!"
