I also do plenty of treats (spinach, special pancakes, berries, apples and more. She...I have a two year old hen with a crossed beak. She needs deep dishes of food, as she can't pick up seeds, etc. as the other hens do. Every once in a while I trim back the dead ends of her beak, and that seems to help.
