So it's basically a matter of getting him away from sodas and other bottled things like tea and gatorade. One small step at a time, I believe! I wanted to get away from it entirely, so I started out with Lipton tea mix and chocolate milk. I'd really like to get away from the Lipton tea (it's hard on my teeth and I'd much prefer to just have the occasional glass of herbal tea instead) but at least it's gotten me away from soda for the most part.

I still have a soda or a Frap every now and then as a treat, but I don't buy them for home as I did as recently as 3 years ago - I was buying a case of each and they wouldn't last me a week. :-(

Anyway, your hubby's start with the caff-free ones is a good start... if he's a milk drinker I'd say try to get him drinking more milk or if he's a coffee drinker, well, it's not easy on the body/teeth either but it's less expensive than soda and lower calories as well.Meloniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09218572127310877215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1590694310503481767.post-38671457624134912762010-01-02T18:34:48.331-07:002010-01-02T18:34:48.331-07:00I am such a big soda addict myself , I am working ...I am such a big soda addict myself , I am working on a mountain dew clone with lacto fermented soda.

You can learn about that @ http://happy-hermit.blogspot.com/2009/12/soda-alternative-lacto-fermented-soda.html

or HERE

I am working on and through it , eventually I will get a MD clone.

Till then I continue to experiment and live on 99 & 88 C dr PeperHappy Hermit (happilyhiddenhermit@gmail.com)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02519948709090732780noreply@blogger.com
