My current home doesn't have a verandah or even a porch but I dream of owning a little farmette again, with a verandah overlooking chickens, goats and gardens. Absolute heaven!

Crossing Chickens

Here's a thought:

Is it possible to cross a white silkie bantam rooster with an easter egger / araucana hen? Is the rooster big enough to do his duty? Would the resulting chicken be broody but produce green or blue eggs?

Has anyone tried this?

That's a question i've never considered! I guess you could put the two together and see what nature decides, right? Only the rooster knows what he's capable of, in the end! I do believe I have a Morton's Neuroma, and it's very annoying. I want to avoid surgery because I've heard it gets mixed results. Your foot still hurts, you said? I hope it goes away soon. Happy Hols and thanks for visiting my blog!

Ish: I had a Morton's neuroma (too high of heel for way too long), and finally had surgery. They cut too many nerve endings and now, not only do I have a huge scar, but no feeling in between those 2 toes (above AND below). I have to be careful when walking barefoot because I won't feel something go into my foot. Anyway... Thanks for the chicken comment!
